Answer the actual question
A page should give a useful answer, calculation, comparison or worked example. It should not rely on repeating search phrases or publishing multiple versions of the same answer. Similar material belongs together when the reader’s task is the same.
Prefer identifiable sources
Food references should name the relevant dataset and serving basis. Scientific or public-health claims should cite an appropriate primary publication or official source. A source about one food, population or method does not automatically support a broader claim.
A source link is not a substitute for explaining units, preparation, assumptions and uncertainty. Where no independently validated nutrition record was supplied, archived estimates are labeled accordingly.
Separate facts, calculations and judgment
- Show a tool’s equation or calculation approach and meaningful limitations.
- Distinguish numerical reference values from AI and archived log estimates.
- Do not imply that a single meal or nutrient establishes a person’s health.
- Make product recommendations conditional on the reader’s needs rather than universal promises.
Product comparisons and current claims
App comparisons should identify the feature being compared and the date and market of current prices. A vendor’s description is a vendor claim unless independently tested. First-hand testing requires an explained method; app-store reviews are individual experiences, not representative clinical evidence.
CaloriMate’s involvement must remain visible in comparisons on this website. Readers should be able to understand both the product’s fit and its limitations. A free download should not be described as unlimited access to paid or credit-based features.
Review and dates
Page dates describe content updates. An older food-summary date remains separate from the date its explanation was revised. Reformatting or translating a value is not a new measurement. We do not claim a registered-dietitian, physician or other professional review unless the page identifies the real reviewer and their relevant involvement.
Corrections
Report an issue to calorimate.app@gmail.com. Include the page URL, the statement or number and any relevant source. A clear correction should change the explanation, source or calculation rather than hide a discrepancy. We do not promise a fixed response time.
