App privacy notice — Splansh Apps

CaloriMate is an AI-powered calorie counter and meal breakdown assistant. The app notice explains the collection, use, disclosure and protection of information when using the mobile application. Contact calorimate.app@gmail.com about this notice or your information.

Information the app notice lists

• Meal descriptions and ingredients you enter.
• Recorded calories, nutrition data and meal logs.
• Step count and estimated calories burned when you enable activity tracking.
• User preferences, settings and interactions in the app.
• Device information, such as operating-system details.

Activity data such as steps and calories burned is collected only when you explicitly enable the relevant features and device permissions. The notice states that this activity data is used to provide insights and improve your experience within the app.

Sharing information

The app notice states that personal information is not sold, traded or rented. It permits sharing with trusted partners who help operate the app and agree to safeguard data; to meet legal obligations, court orders or lawful government requests; and to protect the rights, property or safety of CaloriMate, its users or others.

Security

The app notice describes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No electronic transmission or storage technology is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

App retention and deletion

The app notice retains personal data only as long as needed to provide requested services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce policies. It identifies a Delete Account option on the Personal Data page. The separate deletion instructions also describe Profile → Delete My Account.

The existing deletion notice states that profile details, saved meal logs, calorie history, preferences and settings will be permanently deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Non-personally identifiable aggregated usage data may remain for internal business purposes without association to the account or personal information. Some records may be retained longer where the law requires it, such as transaction records for tax purposes.

Website calculators and inputs

The website calculators perform their calculations locally in your browser. Food descriptions, ingredient amounts, body measurements and calculator result values are not included in the website’s analytics events. The website does not offer an AI meal-photo upload service; photo analysis is an app workflow covered by the app’s relevant disclosures.

Loading a website necessarily sends ordinary requests to its hosting service. This page does not set a new retention period for hosting logs or claim that all technical request information is absent.

Optional website analytics

If you allow analytics, the website loads Google Analytics on the CaloriMate production domain to understand page views, app-store button clicks and calculator use. The events include page, language, content cluster and relevant button or tool identifiers. The event code does not send the values you enter into calculators.

Your analytics choice is stored in your browser’s local storage. The calculators remain available when you choose Essential only. You can reopen Analytics choices in the footer to change your preference. Google Analytics may use cookies and technical information under Google’s Privacy Policy. Declining future analytics does not by itself request deletion of information already received by a provider.

Store and external links

Opening App Store, Google Play or another external link takes you to that provider’s service and its privacy practices. Store links can include a campaign identifier describing the website language or content group; they do not include your meal or calculator inputs.
