Default recipe you can inspect
| Ingredient and preparation | Weight g | kcal |

| Plain cooked white rice | 400 | 520 |
| Roasted skinless chicken breast | 300 | 495 |
| Boiled drained broccoli | 300 | 105 |
| Retained olive oil | 10 | 88.4 |
Total: 1,208.4 kcal before rounding. Four equal portions supply about 302 kcal each. Finished weight is a separate measurement: the example 1,010 g makes about 120 kcal per 100 g. If portions differ in size, weigh each portion against the finished batch.
Match the ingredient state
Add or remove ingredient rows, up to 50, and choose a reference food or a custom label value for each. Use zero grams to omit a row. Custom ingredients need a name, edible weight and matching kcal per 100 g; their values remain in this browser. Choose dry rice if you weigh it dry; choose cooked rice if you weigh it cooked. Do not count dry rice and its cooked yield as separate ingredients.
This local calculator includes a small visible reference library and lets you enter label or recipe energy for other ingredients. When a positive-weight custom ingredient is included, the result shows energy only because the full recipe macros are unknown. It does not parse free text, identify food with AI, retrieve branded labels or upload ingredients. A restaurant recipe or cooking loss cannot be discovered from a dish name alone. Include retained oils and sauces; subtract a known discarded ingredient only when you have a defensible amount.
